HeatShield is a heat illness prevention and compliance platform for employers who manage outdoor and indoor field crews. It is a product of Learning Linq Creative Partners LLC. The platform helps companies monitor jobsite heat conditions, document their prevention efforts, and meet state heat safety regulations and the federal OSHA General Duty Clause.
HeatShield pairs live jobsite heat monitoring with the recordkeeping that compliance requires. Core capabilities include:
HeatShield is built for construction, roofing, transportation, landscaping, and agriculture employers, along with any operation that puts crews to work in the heat, indoors or out. Supervisors run monitoring and alerts from one place, and workers receive the alerts and instructions they need on their own phones.
There is no federal OSHA heat standard. Occupational heat rules are set at the state level, and only five states currently regulate workplace heat: California, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, and Minnesota. HeatShield supports the requirements in each of these states, including outdoor and indoor provisions where they differ.
For employers and worker categories not covered by a state rule, HeatShield documents prevention measures against the OSHA General Duty Clause, which requires employers to provide a workplace free from recognized hazards. That gives every employer a defensible compliance record, whether or not their state has a specific heat regulation on the books.
HeatShield is offered on two subscription plans, both billed annually.
The Pro plan adds indoor sensor API integration for fixed worksites.
